Kenneth A. Hersh.  Mr. Hersh is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of NGP Energy Capital Management where he coordinates the activities of all its investment vehicles to ensure maximum synergy across investment silos. Mr. Hersh also serves as a Managing Partner of the NGP and NGP GAP Funds.  He co-manages NGP’s investment portfolio and oversees the firm’s ongoing investment sourcing, analysis and execution efforts. In addition to his influence over NGP’s core investment process, Mr. Hersh’s transaction skills and personal network of public and private capital sources are among the best in the industry. This enables NGP to take the lead in some of the more elaborate and complex transactions in the industry.

Prior to joining NGP, Mr. Hersh was employed from 1985 to 1987 in the Energy Group within Morgan Stanley & Company’s investment banking division, where he specialized in oil and gas financing and merger and acquisition transactions.

Mr. Hersh is a member of the World Economic Forum and a featured speaker at its annual gathering in Davos, Switzerland. He is also a member of the Dean’s Council of the Harvard Kennedy School and the Advisory Councils of Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business and Princeton University’s Bendheim Center for Finance.

Mr. Hersh received a B.A. in Politics, magna cum laude, in 1985 from Princeton University and an M.B.A. in 1989 from Stanford University, where he was designated an Arjay Miller Scholar.
